Tarkington Middle School

Anticipation, excitement, nervousness and adrenaline encompassed the moments leading up to the TMS Lady Horns first game of the season against the Coldspring Lady Trojans! The ability to actually get to play against other schools after a year of COVID closures and quarantines was reason enough for their mixture of emotions as they looked forward to competing again! They did not disappoint! All four teams came home with a win and took a clean sweep over their opponent! This involved overcoming adversity when some members were asked to play positions they were not prepared to play. When asked how she felt after the win, Blakelee Prince stated, "Proud, happy, accomplished! I was given a task and felt that I did what it took to complete it to the best of my ability." All girls truly pulled together and competed as a team! The coaches are so proud of these individuals and look forward to seeing their growth as the season progresses! Way to go, Lady Horns! Their next game is set for Monday, September 20th. It's a home game against the Lady Hornets of Hardin!
